Willy Brandt House in Lübeck

The permanent exhibit, "Willy Brandt – A Political Life in the 20th Century" guides its visitors multi-medially and interactively through the life of Lübeck’s native son and at the same time through an exciting and eventful 20th century. Numerous presentations invite visitors to pursue historical traces according to their own inclinations or to walk in Brandt’s own footsteps – such as at the speaker’s podium of the German Federal Diet.

With their interactive admission tickets, visitors can call up specific text, film or audio documents. Tomcat Billy takes children on an adventurous hunt for clues which leads them through the entire exhibit. The little detectives find answers to exciting questions and experience along the way how it was possible for a working-class boy to become an internationally respected politician.
